Gabriele Cerlini began his career as a resident DJ in the club of his area, and ignited the music production activity in 1993, under the nickname "Dr. DJ Cerla". His very first single, "Rotterdam '93", unexpectedly goes number 1 of sales in Spain and number 3 in the influent Italian dance chart of Albertino, then a very popular radio speaker. A long Spanish and Italian tour followed. New productions came in the shape of "Mi Boca", "Everybody Pom Pom", "The DJ", "Dance if you Cannot" (curiosity: the latter was remixed by Davide Riva from Whigfield together with a very young Benny Benassi, under the "2 men" nick). With Moratto, Cerla releases in 1995 "Wonder", a super-dupa Italian hit (number 1 sales and clubs) despite its 160 BPM speed. Many TV shows followed. In 1996, Cerla remixes the Rednex hit "Old pop in an oak". Then the singles "Because" and "Crazy 4 Love", which becomes a chart hit in Japan. In 1998, together with Moratto, Cerla starts the Floorfilla project, with "Anthem #1", for Expanded Music. Market reactions were cold, but the following single "Anthem #2" nailed it, selling over 250.000 copies just in France (number 1 sales chart). The first Anthem is promptly re-released and hits the top 20 as well. Floorfilla starts selling in all Euro countries. Many hits followed: Anthems #3, 4, 5, 6, "The Hypno!", "Italodancer", "Megamix", "Le Delire", "Technoromance", "Sister Golden Hair", "Gigamix", "Disco:Roller",  "Kosmiklove", "Komputermelody", "Cyberdream", "Italia 2007" and the albums "United Beatz of Floorfilla" and "Le Voyage", for a total of over 1M copies sold worldwide, plus a lot of compilations. Cerla creates then the "Floorfilla Live Act", himself DJing plus the MC/performer Momo B. The band performs worldwide (still performing very well in 2008!). As "Floorfilla", Cerla remixes Aurora's "Ordinary World", for Positiva. In the meanwhile, the Cerla solo project goes on, with "Sahara Rave", "Yo DJ", both best sellers in Germany and Austria, then "lalala song" and "Sexy Girl". Cerla increases the co-ops with foreign DJ producers: Embargo, Pulsedriver, 89ers, Rob Mayth, Basslovers United, Hands Up Squad, the latest one being the "Doktorspiele" remix for Alex C. Besides his activity in music production, Cerla is a columnist for the reference Italian magazine "Computer Music & Project Studio". Dopo un inizio come DJ resident nei clubs della sua città, Gabriele Cerlini inizia l’attività di produzione musicale nel 1993, sotto il nickname “DR DJ Cerla”, col singolo “Rotterdam ‘93” che inaspettatamente si piazza al numero 1 di vendita in Spagna e al numero 3 della DJ Parade diAlbertino in Italia. Segue un lungo tour spagnolo e italiano con la GIG promotion; Cerla non molla però del tutto i suoi locali a Reggio Emilia e continua ad essere resident nei club Marabù e Adrenaline. Seguono altre produzioni: “Mi Boca” (n.3 Deejay Parade), "Dance if you Cannot" (n.3 DeejayParade), “Everybody pom pom” (n.1 club chart inglese), poi "The DJ". Curiosità: "Dance if you cannot" fu remixato dai "2 men", che altri non erano che Davide Rive (Whigfield) e un giovanissimo Benny Benassi. Nel 1995, in coppia con Moratto, è la volta di “Wonder”: numero 1 di vendita in Italia, primo posto nella Deejay Parade, partecipazioni a “Mio Capitano” (rai 1), “Non è la RAI”(canale 5), ed altri show su TMC e Italia 1. Tra il 1994 e il 1995, a Cerla sono affidati i remix di brani di Adriano Celentano ("Ringo"), di Lucio Dalla "Liberi", di Fiorello "E tu". Nel 1996, insieme a Moratto, entra nel roster di Festivalbar con “Baby Love” e remixa la hit dei Rednex "Old pop ina an oak". Seguono i singoli "Because" e "Crazy 4 Love", che è un'immediata hit da classifica in Giappone. Nel 1998, Cerla dà vita al progetto Floorfilla, con “Anthem #1”, per l'etichetta bolognese Expanded Music. Il brano è ricevuto inizialmente con tiepida accoglienza, ma "Anthem #2" del 1999 è una clamorosa hit di vendita e si piazza al primo posto della classifica singoli francese, con ottimi piazzamenti in altri Paesi e la top-ten in Europarade, tanto che Anthem #1 viene ristampato e finisce anch'esso nella top 20. Seguono gli Anthem 3, 4, 5, 6 e le hit "The Hypno", "Italodancer", "Megamix", "Le Delire", "Technoromance", "Sister Golden Hair", "Gigamix", "Disco:Roller",  "Kosmiklove", "Komputermelody", "Cyberdream", "Italia 2007"e gli album "United Beatz of Floorfilla" e "Le Voyage", per un totale di oltre un milione di copie vendute, più innumerevoli compilations in tutto il mondo. Cerla inizia un tour che dura tuttora, insieme all'amico e incredibile performer Momo B, che lo porta a suonare in tutto il mondo (Europa, Asia, America del Sud). Per l'etichetta Positiva Cerla remixa "Ordinary World" di Aurora. Nel frattempo il progetto solista va avanti, coi singoli "Sahara Rave", "Yo DJ", entrambi campioni di vendita in Germania e Austria, poi con "Lalala Song" e "Sexy Girl". Da notare le collaborazioni sempre più frequenti con DJ producer stranieri: coi francesi Embargo, Cerla mixa una compilation per Sony France, col tedesco Pulsedriver collabora per due remix "Technoromance" e "Galaxy" e per la compilation "Floorfilla vs. Pulsedriver", coi tedeschi 89ers per "Kosmiklove", con gli austriaci Hands Up Squad per "Komputermelody", col tedesco Rob Mayth per "Sister Golden Hair" e "iPower!", coi tedeschi Basslovers United per "Cyberdream", col tedesco Alex C per "Doktorspiele". Accanto all'attività di produzione, Cerla è redattore per la rivista di riferimento "Computer Music & Project Studio".
